A taxi car rental agreement looks similar in every city, but the local details do not: a different office issues the licence, the fee differs, and the airport is not always within the city the licence covers. How to compare offers between cities
The price table at the top of the page shows the average and range of weekly rents in active taxi car listings on Podpin, with at least two listings per city. These are asking prices, not transaction prices, so compare them with the full terms: mileage limit, insurance, excess, deposit and whether the car has a licence extract.
The taxi licence fee depends on the city. The amounts below apply to a licence for the city area only, for 2–15 years and one vehicle, including the extract (*). With a partner's car the carrier pays it; with your own licence, you do.

Taxi car rental in Warsaw
The licence application is filed at Al. Jerozolimskie 44 and collected at ul. Kruczkowskiego 2; the service card also describes filing through Moja Warszawa and e-Doręczenia. The fee for a licence with an extract for the city area is PLN 355.20, the highest of these five cities.
The Warsaw licence covers Warsaw, including Chopin Airport. Modlin is in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, outside that area. If you plan many airport rides, ask the owner or partner whether the car has the entry permission required for pickup zones.

Taxi car rental in Kraków
The licence is handled under procedure KM-34: al. Powstania Warszawskiego 10, booth 80. Documents can be collected in person or sent by post, as indicated in the application. The fee for a licence with an extract for the city area is PLN 222.
Kraków-Balice Airport is in Zabierzów municipality, outside Kraków's limits. A ride with a passenger from the city to the airport is within the rules, but taking new requests there with a Kraków licence depends on the exceptions in Article 6 of the act and any agreements between municipalities. Clarify this with your partner before waiting for requests at Balice.

Taxi car rental in Wrocław
Licences are handled by the Transport Department at ul. G. Zapolskiej 4, room 105. The case card is marked "E-usługa: nie" (no e-service), so do not assume you can apply through any online form. The fee for a licence with an extract for the city area is PLN 222.
Wrocław-Strachowice Airport lies within the city. When comparing rental offers, check the mileage limit: airport runs and empty returns use it up quickly.

Taxi car rental in Gdańsk and the Tri-City
The licence card is run by the Communications Department. It contains separate guidance on submitting the electronic KRK certificate as an XML file before your visit; a PDF printout is not the electronic original. The fee for a licence with an extract for the city area is PLN 222.
Lech Wałęsa Airport lies within Gdańsk. Gdynia and Sopot, however, are separate municipalities: a Gdańsk licence does not cover them automatically unless an inter-municipal agreement provides for it. In the Tri-City, check which area the licence behind the rented car's extract was issued for.

Taxi car rental in Poznań
In the BIP, choose the "nowa licencja" (new licence) card run by the Department of Economic Activity and Agriculture; changing an existing licence is a separate matter. The fee for a licence with an extract for the city area is PLN 222.
Poznań-Ławica Airport lies within the city. As in other cities, before signing a rental agreement confirm in writing the rent, mileage limit, insurance with its excess and the deposit refund terms.
