What license do I need to work for Bolt, Uber or FreeNow in Poland?
Since June 17, 2024, Warsaw and most major cities require a taxi-driver license (licencja na przewóz osób). Without it you cannot work for Bolt/Uber/FreeNow. How much does a Warsaw taxi license cost in 2026?

Can a Ukrainian or Belarusian citizen work as a taxi driver in Poland?
Yes, with a PESEL number, a Category B driving license (must be exchanged for a Polish one after 6 months of residency) and a taxi-driver license. Which delivery platform is most profitable for couriers in Poland?

What is the wypis and why do I need it?
Wypis is a copy of the license tied to a specific vehicle. If you drive different cars (e.g. your own + a rented one), you need a separate wypis for each. Costs 1 PLN per copy, issued together with the main license.
Can I work for Bolt/Uber with a rented car?
Yes, it's the most common option for newcomers. You need a rental agreement (umowa najmu) on the basis of which a wypis is issued in your name, plus an arrangement with the fleet — some register the car on Bolt/Uber themselves and hand you a ready account. Rent in Warsaw is 600-900 zł/wk.
